Requires the Governor to issue an annual proclamation encouraging observance of the day, upgrading from optional authorization to a mandatory duty

Proclamation must call upon news media, government officers, nonprofits, schools, and businesses to highlight the importance of Indigenous communities in Nevada

Proclamation must acknowledge Indigenous culture, history, and contributions, and promote volunteer stewardship activities to preserve public lands significant to Indigenous communities

Nevada is home to 28 federally recognized Tribes, bands, and communities, with over 60,000 tribal members residing in the state
