Cannabis Compliance Board required to adopt regulations establishing procedures for entering into data-sharing agreements with research institutions (defined as universities, colleges, or organizations conducting medical, scientific, or academic research) for cannabis and cannabis industry research purposes

Confidential information and data maintained by the Board may be disclosed to research institutions under these new agreements, expanding current disclosure allowances beyond government agencies

Appropriates $657,241 per year for fiscal years 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 to the Cannabis Policy Institute at UNLV for personnel, operating, and travel expenses

Appropriates $1,000,000 per year for fiscal years 2025-2026 and 2026-2027 to the Cannabis Policy Institute at UNLV for direct research costs (researcher salaries, stipends, travel) excluding indirect costs or overhead
