State Quarantine Officer may temporarily suspend Nevada's cage-free egg requirements for up to 120 consecutive days during events that negatively impact the national egg supply chain, such as foreign animal diseases or federally declared emergencies

Maximum of two temporary suspensions allowed per calendar year, with at least 14 days public notice required before lifting each suspension

During a suspension, the State Quarantine Officer may authorize sale of grade B eggs, restrict egg purchases by state and local governments, and allow small egg flock operators to sell directly to retailers

State Department of Agriculture must submit a report within 60 days on egg price differences by retailer and geographic region to the Legislature and Natural Resources Committee chairs

Act becomes effective immediately upon passage and approval
