Licensed firearm dealers receive immunity from civil liability for personal injury or death arising from "firearm hold agreements," including when returning firearms to owners at agreement termination

Firearm hold agreements allow dealers to take physical possession of an owner's lawfully possessed firearm at the owner's request, hold it for an agreed period, and return it according to agreement terms

Immunity does not apply if the dealer's actions resulted from otherwise unlawful conduct

Licensed firearm dealer is defined as a person licensed under federal law (18 U.S.C. § 923(a))

Applies to causes of action accruing on or after October 1, 2025
