Contracts awarded for the development, deployment, or improvement of privately owned broadband, telecommunication, or fiber optic services are exempted from Nevada's public works requirements, including prevailing wage mandates and fair employment practice rules

Contractors and subcontractors working on public broadband, telecommunication, or fiber optic projects must submit worker records and wage/benefit documentation to the Board of Directors of the Nevada State Infrastructure Bank simultaneously when submitting to the awarding public body

The bill amends NRS Chapter 338 to add a new exemption category alongside existing exemptions for normal operation/maintenance contracts and emergency disaster response contracts
