Prohibits trauma center operators from claiming to provide a specific level of trauma care (Level I, II, III, or IV) unless officially designated by the Administrator of the Division of Public and Behavioral Health

Authorizes the State Board of Health to adopt regulations establishing specific trauma center designation levels, including a new Level IV category

Limits Level IV trauma center designation to critical access hospitals located more than 80 miles outside counties that already have two or more existing trauma centers

Defines "critical access hospital" as a hospital certified by the U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services under 42 U.S.C. § 1395i-4e

Main provisions take effect January 1, 2026, with regulatory preparation authorized upon passage and approval
