Appropriates $993,100 from the State General Fund to UNLV's Partnership for Research, Assessment, Counseling, Therapy and Innovative Clinical Education (PRACTICE) for a predoctoral internship program in child and adolescent psychology ($206,000 for FY 2025-2026 and $787,100 for FY 2026-2027)

Funds may be used for personnel, operating costs, travel, professional development, equipment, intern stipends, training materials, clinical supplies, and accreditation expenses

Addresses Nevada's mental health workforce shortage, where over 91% of residents live in a mental health professional shortage area and the state ranks 51st nationally for children and adolescent mental health access

Nevada has 12.2 licensed psychologists per 100,000 persons compared to the national average of 32.8, and needs approximately 600 more psychologists than the projected 640 available in 2025

Unspent funds must be reverted to the State General Fund by September 17, 2027; effective date is July 1, 2025
