Aging and Disability Services Division must establish a dementia care specialist program providing crisis intervention services, proactive support for persons with dementia and caregivers, and translation/interpretation services for those with limited English proficiency

Division must issue requests for proposals to local government agencies or nonprofits to provide dementia care specialist services, and partner with an educational organization to train specialists and evaluate the program

UNLV School of Medicine and UNR School of Medicine, with the Department of Health and Human Services, may establish the Nevada Memory Network for early dementia detection, diagnosis, and ongoing care management

Nevada Memory Network would establish or contract with clinics employing neurologists, neuropsychologists, and geriatric specialists to train primary care providers, diagnose dementia, create care plans, and utilize telehealth services

Network would employ community health workers to coordinate care and support caregivers, and contract with community-based organizations for crisis intervention and long-term care services; effective July 1, 2025
