Appropriates $2,400,000 from the State General Fund to the University of Nevada, Reno for purchasing, distributing, and maintaining tablet computers for Pell Grant-eligible students enrolled during the 2025-2027 biennium.

Pell Grant eligibility is based on requirements in effect December 31, 2024, adjusted annually according to the Consumer Price Index.

UNR must submit a report by February 1, 2027 to legislative committees detailing participation numbers, academic performance outcomes, technology usage statistics, and an itemization of expenditures.

A final expenditure report is due to the Interim Finance Committee by September 17, 2027, covering all spending through June 30, 2027.

Unspent funds must be reverted to the State General Fund by September 17, 2027, with no expenditure commitments permitted after June 30, 2027.
