Money remaining in the Fund to Assist School Districts in Financing Capital Improvements and the Fund to Assist Rural School Districts in Financing Capital Improvements at fiscal year end no longer reverts to the State General Fund and must be carried forward to the next fiscal year

School districts in counties with population under 100,000 (all counties except Clark and Washoe) may now apply for grants from the Rural School Districts Fund for capital projects on qualified tribal land, regardless of whether local capital project taxes have been levied

Grants for tribal land projects can match the amount of gifts, grants, donations, or accrued interest received by the school district for capital projects located on qualified tribal land

"Qualified tribal land" is defined as real property with legal title vested in or held in trust for an Indian tribe or individual Native American, subject to federal alienation restrictions, and over which a tribe exercises governmental power
