School districts employing school police officers and charter schools contracting for school police must publish annual reports on use of force on their websites by the first day of each school year

Reports must document incidents involving batons, chemical agents (tear gas, pepper spray), and electronic stun devices, including location and whether incidents occurred during school hours or sponsored events

Demographic information (age, race, gender, ethnicity) of persons subjected to force must be reported in aggregate without personally identifiable information

School districts with more than 75 school police officers must also report the rank and years of employment of officers who used force

First report is due by the first day of the 2026-2027 school year covering the 2025-2026 school year; act becomes effective July 1, 2025
