School administrators must immediately screen and assess reports of discrimination based on race, bullying, or cyber-bullying to determine whether a violation likely occurred before initiating a full investigation

If screening determines discrimination likely occurred, administrators must take action to stop the behavior, ensure victim safety, and begin an investigation; if not, they must follow Department of Education policies for handling the report

School district boards of trustees may now assign perpetrators of discrimination/bullying to a different school at the request of the perpetrator's parent or guardian, as part of disciplinary action

If both victim and perpetrator are transferred to different schools following a violation, they cannot be assigned to the same school
