Charter school sponsors must terminate or restart charter contracts when schools receive the lowest performance rating for 3 consecutive years (changed from 3 years out of any 5 consecutive years), with this provision expiring October 1, 2026

Sponsors are exempt from termination/restart requirements if the charter school scores within 5% of the second-lowest rating threshold, or within 10% of that threshold while also improving its rating by at least 50% from the prior year

Department of Education must establish a committee to evaluate and recommend revisions to Nevada's statewide public school accountability system, with a report due by June 30, 2026

Committee membership includes representatives from school districts, teachers (including special education, early childhood, and English learner specialists), administrators, charter schools, teacher associations, the University of Nevada, a student, a parent, and a legislator

Committee must ensure any recommended accountability revisions align with academic standards, reflect student accomplishments and economic mobility outcomes, comply with federal ESEA requirements, and avoid increasing reporting burdens on schools
