Nevada adopts a revised Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children governing interstate placement of children in foster care, preliminary to adoption, or for juvenile justice purposes, requiring receiving state approval before placement occurs

Creates the Interstate Commission for the Placement of Children as a joint commission of member states with authority to adopt binding rules, provide dispute resolution, issue advisory opinions, enforce compliance through legal action, and levy annual assessments on member states

Sending states retain jurisdiction over placed children until adoption, age of majority, legal independence, guardianship creation in receiving state, or termination with receiving state concurrence; courts in receiving states must confer with sending state courts on child protection or custody issues

Replaces the current compact administrator position with a central state compact office headed by a Governor-appointed executive to ensure state compliance with the compact and Interstate Commission rules

The revised compact becomes effective when 35 states enact it (currently 18 states have done so), at which point Nevada's original compact version is repealed
