Nevada Legislature urges Congress to enact the Richard L. Trumka Protecting the Right to Organize Act of 2025 (H.R. 20), which would expand protections for employees' collective bargaining rights

The federal PRO Act would prevent employers from misclassifying employees to avoid labor law protections and prohibit permanent replacement of or discrimination against striking workers

The Act would allow collective bargaining agreements to require fair share fee collection by unions and ban mandatory employer meetings designed to discourage union membership

Resolution cites income inequality data showing bottom 90% of workers saw 44% income growth from 1979-2023, while the top 1% saw over 180% growth; union workers earn 13.5% more on average than non-union counterparts

Copies of the resolution will be transmitted to the President, Vice President, Speaker of the House, and Nevada's Congressional delegation upon passage
