Weekly extended unemployment benefit amounts must be reduced by the same percentage as federal sequestration cuts to Nevada's federal extended benefit payments under the Balanced Budget and Emergency Deficit Control Act of 1985

Total extended benefit amounts for a benefit year must be reduced by the aggregate of all weekly reductions resulting from sequestration

Administrator of the Employment Security Division must provide timely notice to affected claimants that includes the specific calculation of reduced benefits and information about appeal rights

Claimants may appeal the calculation of reduced benefit amounts but cannot appeal the reduction itself, as sequestration is mandated by federal law

Effective immediately upon passage and approval
