Requires Medicaid to cover services provided by pharmacists within their scope of practice if those same services are covered when performed by other healthcare providers

Mandates pharmacist reimbursement rates equal to or greater than rates paid to physicians, physician assistants, or advanced practice registered nurses for similar services

Prohibits Medicaid and managed care organizations from requiring prior authorization for pharmacist services when prior authorization is not required for the same service performed by another provider

Removes existing piecemeal statutory provisions for specific pharmacist services (contraception, HIV/hepatitis C) since the new general coverage requirement encompasses them

Effective January 1, 2026 for implementation purposes; fiscal impact on the state anticipated with no effect on local government
