Courts may dispose of a bail bond or undertaking as agreed to by all parties, rather than being required to automatically exonerate bail when charges are dismissed or no formal action is instituted

Existing law requiring courts to exonerate bail upon case dismissal or lack of formal charges remains in effect unless all parties agree to an alternative disposition

Courts retain authority to delay bail exoneration for up to 30 days when a defendant faces similar charges arising from the same act or requests to remain on bail pending anticipated charges

Amends NRS 178.502 governing bail bonds and undertakings in Nevada

Effective immediately upon passage and approval
