Division of Public and Behavioral Health must establish a program to improve Nevadans' ability to respond to medical emergencies and access emergency resources

Program will assist volunteers in receiving CPR training and FEMA Community Emergency Response Team training, and allow CPR-certified volunteers to register their location for emergency notification

Multiple notification methods required to alert people during emergencies about nearby volunteers, health facilities, and first aid/bleeding control kits, including signage, mobile apps, and QR codes

Division will provide resources and incentives to help Nevada communities achieve HEARTSafe Community designation from the Citizen CPR Foundation

Division may partner with organizations including Stop the Bleed, American Heart Association, EMS providers, insurers, and health facilities; effective January 1, 2026
