Appropriates $1,400,000 from the State General Fund to the United Way of Northern Nevada and the Sierra for the United Readers Program

Requires the organization to submit an expenditure report to the Interim Finance Committee by December 18, 2026, and a final report by September 17, 2027

Grants the Legislative Auditor access to all books, accounts, and records to audit how the appropriated money is used

Unspent funds cannot be committed after June 30, 2027, and any remaining balance must revert to the State General Fund by September 17, 2027

Takes effect immediately upon passage and approval
