Deadline to cure signature defects or provide missing identification reduced from 6 days after the election to 3 days after the election.

County and city clerks must establish procedures to inform voters of mail ballot requirements and provide training to election board officers on processing and counting mail ballots.

After each election, clerks must submit reports to the Secretary of State detailing mail ballot statistics, including ballots sent, returned, signature issues, and total counted.

Effective January 1, 2026, with fiscal impact on state and local governments; contains unfunded mandates not requested by affected local governments.
