Authorizes H-2A visa herders (temporary agricultural workers performing livestock herding on the range) and their employers to enter written agreements excluding meal periods (minimum 30 minutes), sleep periods (up to 8 hours), and other duty-free time from compensable wages

Requires any interruption to excluded periods by a call to duty to be counted and compensated as hours worked

Exempts employers of H-2A visa herders from standard recordkeeping requirements for daily hours worked, allowing written agreements to establish total hours instead

Mandates separate records or new agreements when significant deviations from initial work time agreements occur

Violations constitute a misdemeanor with administrative penalties up to $5,000 per violation, enforceable by the Labor Commissioner, district attorneys, or Attorney General
