Council on Food Security must conduct a study during the 2025-2026 interim on the long-term financial stability of the Home Feeds Nevada Agriculture Food Purchase Program, including identifying sustainable revenue sources

Written report on study results due to the Director of the State Department of Agriculture and Legislative Counsel Bureau by December 1, 2026, for transmittal to the 84th Legislature

Council may request drafting of up to one legislative measure related to the Program, with request due by December 1, 2026, and prefiling required before the first day of the 2027 legislative session

Appropriates $800,000 from the State General Fund to the Nutritious Food Purchase Account for the Director of the State Department of Agriculture to operate the Program

Appropriation must be committed by June 30, 2027, fully spent by September 17, 2027, with any remaining balance reverting to the State General Fund; act becomes effective July 1, 2025
