Expands the authority of certified registered nurse anesthetists (CRNAs) to order, prescribe, possess, and administer controlled substances, poisons, dangerous drugs, and devices in any healthcare setting, removing the current restriction limiting this authority to critical access hospitals only

CRNAs must still work under the supervision of a physician licensed to practice medicine or osteopathic medicine in Nevada when exercising prescriptive authority

Prescriptive authority remains limited to treating patients before, during, and after surgery or childbirth

CRNAs retain separate authority to possess and administer controlled substances in other circumstances where registered nurses are generally authorized to do so

Effective date: July 1, 2025
