Contractors and subcontractors on public works projects must now record the total number of hours and overtime hours worked each day and each week for each worker, in addition to existing recordkeeping requirements

Creates an exception to the confidentiality of worker identification records (driver's license/ID numbers) to allow inspection by joint labor-management committees established under the federal Labor Management Cooperation Act of 1978 (29 U.S.C. § 175a)

Monthly records must be submitted to the awarding public body within 15 days after the end of each calendar month, with basic worker information remaining open to public inspection

Failure to comply with these recordkeeping provisions constitutes a misdemeanor for contractors, subcontractors, or their agents and representatives
