Allows Nevada colleges and universities to directly compensate current student athletes for use of their name, image, or likeness (NIL), removing the previous prohibition that limited such compensation to third-party organizations only

Permits student athletes to enter into NIL contracts directly with their institution or national collegiate athletic associations (such as the NCAA), in addition to outside organizations

Makes all NIL contracts between student athletes and institutions confidential and exempt from public records requests, including related communications and materials

Prohibits institutions and athletic associations from reducing scholarships or preventing athletic participation solely because a student receives NIL compensation from the institution or athletic association

Effective date: July 1, 2025
