Amends the definition of "facility for skilled nursing" in NRS 449.0039 to clarify that such facilities provide "inpatient" continuous skilled nursing care to patients not in an acute illness episode

Requires counties and cities to adopt ordinances using the state term "facility for skilled nursing" when referring to such facilities, adding this to the existing list of facility types requiring standardized terminology

Exempts counties and cities from including the term in ordinances if no such facility exists in their jurisdiction or if their ordinances do not otherwise reference that facility type

Grandfathers any facility operating on June 30, 2025 that was considered a skilled nursing facility, nursing home, or similar facility under previously adopted local ordinances

Effective date: July 1, 2025
