Officers may immediately confiscate any firearm found on or in the immediate vicinity of a person placed on a mental health crisis hold under NRS 433A.160

Officers must provide the person with a receipt describing the confiscated firearm and a notice explaining the return procedures

Law enforcement must return the firearm upon the person's release from treatment unless an officer files for a protection order against high-risk behavior or the person is legally prohibited from possessing firearms under NRS 202.360
