"Farm purposes" excludes trailers operated as common motor carriers or contract motor carriers, and the 5-year option does not apply to full trailers or semitrailers registered under subsection 3 of NRS 482.483

Upon transfer of a 5-year farm trailer registration, the license plate expiration date advances 5 years, with pro rata credits allowed for unused registration fees and governmental services taxes
