Cities, counties, regional transportation commissions, and the Nevada Department of Transportation may send written or electronic notifications to navigation app providers about road closures, hazards, lane closures, construction, accidents, or other road conditions affecting highways under their jurisdiction

Navigation providers must incorporate road condition information into their apps within 48 hours of receiving notification, with a $500 per day civil penalty for non-compliance until the information is added or the condition is resolved

The law applies only to navigation applications with at least 10,000,000 active monthly users that offer real-time turn-by-turn directions and incorporate real-time traffic data for Nevada highways

The Department of Transportation must create and maintain an electronic system allowing local governments to submit road condition information for upload to Nevada 511 or similar state-maintained traffic websites and apps

Two nonvoting members representing navigation providers must be appointed to the Advisory Committee on Traffic Safety, and the bill takes effect October 1, 2025
