Amends Labor Law Section 143 to allow students employed as qualified lifeguards or aquatic supervisory staff to work up to five hours on any day preceding a school day, exceeding the standard four-hour limit.

Requires employers to obtain and maintain written consent from the minor's parent or guardian before allowing extended work hours for student lifeguards.

Requires employers to receive a certificate from the student's school at the end of each marking period confirming the student maintains satisfactory academic standing and passing grades.

Applies only to students who meet any additional educational standards or requirements set by the employer or hiring agency.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
