Amends Penal Law section 120.05 to include sanitation enforcement agents in protections against assault similar to those for peace officers, police officers, firefighters, and paramedics

Makes it a crime to assault a sanitation enforcement agent with intent to prevent them from performing lawful duties or to cause them physical injury

Applies the same assault penalties to attacks on sanitation enforcement agents as existing law provides for attacks on transit workers, traffic enforcement officers, and city marshals

Takes effect on the thirtieth day after becoming law
