Farm operators and non-residential customer-generators may locate solar, farm waste, or wind electric generating equipment with net energy meters on their own land and direct 100 percent of credits generated to any other meter location they own or lease within the same electric utility service area.

Remote metering locations must be within a 25-mile radius of the solar, farm waste, or wind electric generating equipment and within the service territory of the same electric corporation where the generation equipment is interconnected.

Amends Public Service Law sections 66-j and 66-1 to permit this remote net metering arrangement for eligible farm operations and non-residential customer-generators.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
