Amends New York labor law to expand the definition of "employer" to explicitly include any private or non-municipal industry, trade, occupation or process.

Requires proper authorities with jurisdiction to notify a former employer or workplace when a person who committed a crime in that workplace is released from incarceration or violates probation or parole conditions.

Notification requirement applies only when the crime was committed in the workplace and the employer reported the crime to police.

Applies to notification regarding both employees and visitors who committed crimes in the workplace.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
