Proposes a new Section 17-A to Article 1 of the New York State Constitution requiring all employees receive equal pay for equal work of comparable value, skill, effort, and responsibility performed under similar working conditions

Mandates that sex, race, or national origin shall not directly or indirectly influence the establishment of wages or salaries

Requires the amendment be referred to the first regular legislative session following the next general election of assembly members

Mandates publication of the proposed amendment for 3 months prior to such election in accordance with Article 19, Section 1 of the State Constitution
