Chancellor of city school districts in cities with populations over one million must compile an inventory and written report on all outdoor playgrounds at educational facilities by December 31, 2011

Report must identify each playground by community school district, address, size, and physical condition, and specify which playgrounds are used for physical education, activity, or recreation

Report must document how often students use each playground, activities conducted, usage limitations, and explain why any playgrounds are not being used for physical education or recreation

Report must describe playground usage during school days and after school, include capital plans for construction/renovation/reconfiguration, and provide recommendations to improve student physical education, fitness, and well-being

Chancellor must submit completed report to the Governor, Senate Temporary President, Assembly Speaker, and the Department of Education
