Requires physicians, physician assistants, nurses, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, mental health counselors, marriage/family therapists, dentists, nutritionists, and psychoanalysts to complete approved coursework or training on early recognition of and intervention for eating disorders by July 1, 2011

Mandates professionals attest to the Department of Education at first registration after July 1, 2011 that they have completed the required training, which shall include information on physical, emotional, and behavioral indicators of eating disorders

Permits the Department of Education to exempt professionals who demonstrate no need for such training based on their practice type, completion of equivalent training, or other good cause

Requires hospitals and facilities to deny or refuse to renew professional privileges for physicians who have not completed the mandated coursework or training

Takes effect January 1 following enactment, with the Commissioner of Education authorized to promulgate necessary regulations
