Eliminates the "sex offender requiring strict and intensive supervision" category from New York's civil management framework for sex offenders, leaving only the "dangerous sex offender requiring confinement" designation as an option.

Removes provisions allowing courts to order strict and intensive outpatient supervision and treatment as an alternative to confinement for sex offenders with mental abnormalities.

Repeals section 10.11 of the Mental Hygiene Law entirely, which previously contained procedures and conditions for strict and intensive supervision regimens.

Repeals subdivision 9-a of section 259-a of the Executive Law related to the supervision alternative.

Takes effect 30 days after becoming law.
