No person, corporation, or entity may transport, sell, or offer for sale eggs for human consumption in New York unless the eggs originate from poultry vaccinated against Salmonella enteritidis

Eggs from unvaccinated poultry may be transported to egg-breaking plants for pasteurization with written permission from the Commissioner

Eggs from unvaccinated poultry may be transported and possessed for research or experimentation with written permission from the Commissioner

Violations constitute a Class A misdemeanor

The act takes effect 180 days after becoming law, with the Commissioner authorized to promulgate necessary rules and regulations immediately
