Removes the maximum age limit of 29 years (with superintendent discretion to extend to 35 years) for appointment as a sworn member of the New York State Police, replacing it with only a minimum age requirement of 21 years.

Eliminates the military service credit provision that previously allowed up to six years of military duty to be subtracted from an applicant's age for qualification purposes.

Requires the superintendent to mandate retirement of any New York State Police member who reaches 70 years of age.

Removes age-related exceptions that previously applied to counsel, assistant counsel, and bureau of criminal investigation positions.
