Requires insurance policies providing medical, major medical, or comprehensive coverage to cover prescribed, orally administered anticancer medications used to treat cancer.

Allows insurers to apply co-pays, coinsurance, or deductibles to oral anticancer drugs, provided they are at least as favorable as cost-sharing for intravenous or injected anticancer medications.

Prohibits insurers from varying policy terms, providing incentives to accept lesser coverage, penalizing healthcare practitioners, or increasing cost-sharing for intravenous/injected anticancer medications to achieve compliance.

Applies to health insurance policies issued by insurance companies, hospital service corporations, and health service corporations in New York State.

Takes effect on the same date as Chapter 559 of the Laws of 2011.
