Adds occupational therapy assistant graduates with associate's degrees from accredited programs to the list of limited permittees authorized to practice in New York State.

Allows occupational therapy assistant students to practice under the direction and supervision of either a licensed occupational therapist or an authorized occupational therapy assistant (who is themselves supervised by an occupational therapist).

Limits limited permits for occupational therapy assistants to practice only in hospitals, health care agencies, preschools, or elementary and secondary schools for providing occupational therapy services.

Takes effect 90 days after becoming law, with the commissioner of education and board of regents authorized to promulgate necessary rules and regulations prior to the effective date.
