Amends Criminal Procedure Law section 510.30 to require courts to consider danger of intimidation or injury to witnesses when setting bail or recognizance for defendants charged with crimes against family or household members.

Courts must consider prior acts of violence or threats of violence against witnesses in the pending criminal action.

Courts must consider any orders of protection previously issued against the defendant for protecting family or household members, whether currently in effect or not.

Courts must consider prior arrests or convictions for crimes or violations against family or household members, and any violations of existing protection orders.

Courts must consider the defendant's history of firearm use or possession.

Takes effect November 1st following the date the bill becomes law.
