Amends Public Authorities Law Section 1266 to expand the existing no-fare program on the Long Island Rail Road to include police officers employed by towns of Suffolk County (previously only included Nassau County villages and cities)

Requires the Long Island Rail Road authority to establish registration requirements for participating police officers, including verification of employment and disclosure of regular working hours and expected train routes

Mandates periodic re-registration and re-validation of police officers participating in the no-fare program

Establishes that the program's goals include increased protection and improved safety for Long Island Rail Road commuters

Takes effect immediately upon enactment
