Commissioner of the Department of Economic Development shall form a six-member task force to develop a plan increasing interagency cooperation with respect to the forest industry

Task force membership includes the Commissioner of Agriculture and Markets, CEO of the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, two forestry industry representatives appointed by the Governor, one Catskills local government representative appointed by the Governor, and one Adirondack local government representative appointed by the Governor

All task force members must be appointed within 120 days of the effective date

Task force shall make recommendations on expanding economic success in the forestry industry, increasing communication between government agencies regarding forestry, and increasing communication between forestry professionals and state agencies

Task force members shall serve four-year terms with vacancies filled for the remainder of the unexpired term
