Prohibits any party or their representatives from conducting ex-parte interviews with treating physicians or health care providers of another party in personal injury, medical, dental, or podiatric malpractice, or wrongful death actions.

Creates an exception allowing attorneys representing the patient, the patient's estate, or the patient's guardian to conduct ex-parte conversations with the patient's own treating physicians or health care providers.

Takes effect thirty days after becoming law and applies to all malpractice and wrongful death actions filed on or after the effective date, as well as pending actions on that date.

Does not prohibit conduct that occurred before the effective date.
