Authorizes the Nassau County assessor to accept a late tax exemption application from the Farmingdale Public Library for property at 120 Merritts Road, Farmingdale (Section 49, Block H, Lot 558) in the Town of Oyster Bay for the 2011-2012 assessment roll.

Requires the late application to be reviewed as if it had been timely filed by the taxable status date, and allows the assessor to grant the exemption if the organization would otherwise qualify.

Grants the Nassau County Legislature approval authority over the exemption decision.

Permits the governing body or tax department to refund any taxes already paid and cancel remaining unpaid taxes, fines, penalties, interest, or tax liens if the exemption is granted.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
