Allows farm operators and non-residential customer-generators with micro-hydroelectric equipment to use remote net metering across multiple properties within the same electric utility service territory and load zone

Permits customers to designate all or a portion of net metering credits generated at one location to be applied to meters at other properties they own or lease within the same service area

Requires electric utilities to apply credits to the highest usage meter first, then subsequent highest usage meters, with excess credits carried over to the following month

Defines eligible farm operations under Agriculture and Markets Law Section 301, Subdivision 11, and applies to non-residential customer-generators as defined in Public Service Law Section 66-j

Takes effect immediately upon enactment
