Adds definition of "circulatory roadway" as the roadway within a circular intersection where traffic travels counterclockwise around a central island.

Defines "circular intersection" as an intersection containing a generally circular island in the center where traffic passes to the right of the island.

Defines "roundabout" as a circular intersection characterized by counterclockwise circulatory movement, channelized approaches, low speeds, and yield control of entering traffic.

Revises lane-use control signal indications to replace references to "lane direction signals" with "lane-use control signal indications" and adds white arrow signals to indicate two-way and one-way left-turn lanes.

Modifies section 1685 to allow either "stop" or "yield" signs at railroad grade crossings, replacing the previous requirement of stop signs only.
