Creates new section 168-w of Correction Law prohibiting any person required to register under the Sex Offender Registration Act from entering areas or rooms designated as children's sections in public libraries

Amends Penal Law section 65.10 to make the children's library section prohibition a mandatory condition of probation or conditional discharge for offenders convicted of specified sex offenses (Articles 130, 235, 263, and sections 255.25-255.27) when the victim was under age 18 or the offender is designated a level three sex offender

Allows registered offenders who are students, participants, or employees of a public library to enter children's sections with written authorization from their probation officer or the court and the library's superintendent or chief administrator

Establishes that this prohibition applies in addition to existing restrictions on entering school grounds and facilities primarily used for care or treatment of persons under age 18

Takes effect immediately upon passage
